Hello, welcome to the Dialed + Zapier integrations page. The Dialed Zapier integrations allows you to create simple, no-code between Dialed and hundreds of other services.
Zapier works by associating a trigger with an action. For example, receiving a new email could be a trigger and storing the email address of the sender could be an action.
Dialed Triggers
Receiving a new inbound text message
New inbound texts include the following outputs, which you can use to create a new action in Zapier.
The
id
of the text messageThe
body
of the text message (e.g. what the message content is)The
date
of the messageThe
contact
phone number that sent the message
Creating a new contact
New contacts trigger the following:
The
phoneNumber
of the contactThe
displayPhoneNumber
of the contact - a friendly formatted version of the phone number suitable for display.The
name
of the contact. (This is either the contact’s name or a friendly version of the phone number if no name exists).
Dialed Actions
Dialed also includes 2 actions you can trigger from other services
Create a new contact
You can pass any of the following information from a trigger output to Dialed to create a contact.
The
phone_number
of the contactThe
name
of the contactAny
labels
that you want to assign to the contact (comma separated list)A
note
to add to the contact.
Send a text message
You can also assign a trigger to send a new text message from your Dialed number. Just pass in the following:
The
phone_number
of the person you want to send a text toThe
body
of the text (e.g. what you want to send)
Authentication
In order to use any of the Dialed triggers or actions, you have to authenticate your Dialed account with Zapier. This is a very simple procedure to take when you set up your first Zap.
When prompted for an api key by Zapier:
In Dialed, navigate to Settings -> API Key
In the api key setting you can find the api key to give Zapier
Generate a new api key at any time, or copy the existing api key to paste into Zapier
